A preview of our fruits available this summer!
Kappus Farms, Inc. is located in Burt, New York, near Niagara Falls, along the southern shores of Lake Ontario. The farm consists of one hundred and sixty acres of various deciduous fruits including raspberries, apples, peaches, pears, nectarines, prunes, cherries and plums. To sell this large quantity of fruit fruit some of it must be stored in a state of the art 160,000 bushel capacity cold storage facility.
Also at this location there is a u-pick cherry and raspberry operation that starts in the beginning of July and runs through August. Peaches and nectarines are sold retail at the Kappus Farms roadside stand later in August.
All fruits are also available for wholesale.

Kappus Farms is committed to saving the environment and food safety
Nowhere else can you be sure to get the safest and freshest fruit, but for the fruit that you select yourself right off the tree at Kappus Farms.
We use the most advanced environmentally friendly fruit propagation methods in the world. These practices encompass a wide range of proven systems that are not sacrificed for profit. Our goal is to maintain product safety using the latest technological advances in fruit growing techniques available.
Here are a few examples of the latest techniques:
- We spray trees with a derivative of grape juice to deter birds from attacking the fruit.
- We mow the grass short to keep insects and rodents away from the trees.
- We use perfumed cling free clothes dryer strips to keep the deer from nibbling on the branches.
- We put twist ties on trees with moth pheromones that blanket the orchard and prevent male moths from finding a mate.
- We use very specific biotech sprays that target only one insect species and do not harm beneficial or non threatening insects.
- We use startling cannons and bird distress call recorders to prevent birds from attacking our fruit.
- Plus many more safety and environmental practices too numerous and complex to explain here!
